George, qui aimait beaucoup l’aventure, s’en alla à l’âge de 17 ans,
aux Etats Unis, où il s’enrôla dans les U.S. Marines.
Cela lui a permis de voyager beaucoup et voir plusieurs pays.
Rassasié au bout de 8 ans, il est revenu à Edmonton à l’automne de 1929.

George, who was very fond of adventure, went to the United States
at the age of 17, where he enlisted in the U.S. Marines;
this allowed him to travel a lot and see several countries.
Satisfied after 8 years, he returned to Edmonton in the fall of 1929
